Anisotropic stars for spherically symmetric spacetimes satisfying the Karmarkar condition

摘要

A new class of solution describing an anisotropic stellar configurationsatisfying Karmarkar's condition i.e. spherically symmetric metric of embeddingclass 1, is reported. It has been shown that the compact star model isphysically well-behaved and meet all the physical requirements for a stableconfiguration in hydrostatic equilibrium. Our model describes compact starslike Vela X-1 and 4U1608-52 to a very good approximation.
